Engineer Day gets celebrated on different dates across the globe. India marks Engineer Day 2023 on 15th September, and Nepal celebrates on 3rd Shrawan(18th July) and likewise.
World Engineering Day is assigned by the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) on 4th March.
It’s the Indian version of Engineer’s Day in the upcoming.
Indians celebrate Sir M Visvesvaraya’s birthday as Engineer’s Day as a tribute to one of the best-known engineers of his time. He was the most innovative Civil Engineer, economist, and statesman in India.
He received the Bharat Ratna award in 1955 and was the chief creator of the flood protection system in Hyderabad and the Krishna Raja Sagar dam of Karnataka.
