The UN marks the first Monday of October as World Habitat Day. This year, it’s 7 October 2024, and the event is observed globally.
The purpose of this event is to check the condition of towns and cities and serve the fundamental right to sufficient shelter for all. Likewise, on this wonderful occasion, it is worth considering the habitats of animals as well. Let’s not destroy the jungle and help ourselves with deforestation and other natural calamities.
The theme for this year’s event is “Engaging Youth to Create a Better Urban Future,” which aims to employ youth power for nature conservation. This also implies efficient resource use and environmental conservation while keeping our interests in check.
